Flash Flood Emergency in Harris County

What is the danger? The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Emergency for northeast Harris, southeast Montgomery and Liberty counties. This is an extremely dangerous, life threatening situation. Residents in this area are encourages to shelter in place and stay off the roadways. Flash flooding is in progress in Huffman. American Red Cross Opens Shelter In Anahuac For Tropical Depression Imelda Evacuees  

ANAHUAC, TEXAS- SEPTEMBER 19, 2019 – The American Red Cross has opened an emergency shelter in Anahuac to assist those affected by Tropical Depression Imelda.  Currently, no residents have registered at the shelter but Red Cross workers are prepared to provide warm meals, a safe place to sleep and emotional support for those with immediate, disaster-caused needs.
