UHV Breaks Ground On New Health, Wellness Center

Leaders of the University of Houston-Victoria and DeTar Healthcare System participate Tuesday in the groundbreaking ceremony for the university’s new Health & Wellness Center. The University of Houston-Victoria hosted a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday morning to officially begin construction on the university’s new Health and Wellness Center. The UHV Health & Wellness Center will be located at the corner of Ben Wilson and Red River streets across Ben Wilson Street from Dairy Queen. Texas Legislature Approves Allocations For UHV Aviation Program

The University of Houston-Victoria is looking forward to adding a new aviation program and continuing to offer affordable tuition rates to students thanks to allocations from the Texas Legislature for the next two years. The 88th Texas Legislature approved the university’s request for $1,275,000 in the 2024 fiscal year and $1,805,000 for the 2025 fiscal year to fund the creation of an aviation minor. The University of Houston-Victoria is pleased to invite the Victoria community out for a free night of baseball and fun with the Victoria Generals. Representatives from the University of Houston-Victoria and Victoria College met Wednesday afternoon to sign a renewed memorandum of understanding between the two institutions to support higher education in the Crossroads. UHV Celebrates Achievements At Annual Report Event

The University of Houston-Victoria spent Thursday evening celebrating the achievements of the past year and thanking its supporters as part of the 2021-2022 UHV Annual Report event. About 200 people attended the event, which was hosted at UHV Northwest, the university’s property at Airline Road and Laurent Street. Community college students can more easily earn a bachelor’s degree at the University of Houston-Victoria, thanks to a new expansion of its partnership with Alvin Community College.
