Community college students can more easily earn a bachelor’s degree at the University of Houston-Victoria, thanks to a new expansion of its partnership with Alvin Community College. UHV, Blinn College Strike New Partnership Agreement

Representatives from the University of Houston-Victoria and Blinn College met Tuesday to sign an agreement that will allow students to earn both an associate and bachelor’s degree at each institution through an academic pathway program. UHV receives record-breaking support on Giving Tuesday

The University of Houston-Victoria received the highest amount of donations yet during UHV’s sixth annual Giving Tuesday campaign on Nov. 30, including a $50,000 donation to create a scholarship endowment. The university received $113,648 from 469 donors, the second-highest number of donors for the campaign. Donors included UHV employees, alumni and students as well as businesses and community members. University of Houston-Victoria leaders and the family of Kay Kerr Walker broke ground Thursday on the site that will be Kay’s Grove, a 29,000-square-foot memorial landscaped garden for students, faculty, staff and visitors to enjoy on campus.
