UHV receives record-breaking support on Giving Tuesday

The University of Houston-Victoria received the highest amount of donations yet during UHV’s sixth annual Giving Tuesday campaign on Nov. 30, including a $50,000 donation to create a scholarship endowment. The university received $113,648 from 469 donors, the second-highest number of donors for the campaign. Donors included UHV employees, alumni and students as well as businesses and community members. University of Houston-Victoria leaders and the family of Kay Kerr Walker broke ground Thursday on the site that will be Kay’s Grove, a 29,000-square-foot memorial landscaped garden for students, faculty, staff and visitors to enjoy on campus. UHV Announces Spring President’s, Deans’ Lists

The University of Houston-Victoria has released the names of undergraduate students who made its spring 2021 President’s and Deans’ lists. The President’s List honors undergraduates who earn a 4.0 grade-point average on all work completed during the spring semester. To qualify for the Deans’ List, undergraduates must earn at least a 3.5 grade-point average. The recognitions are awarded each fall and spring semester. A minimum of nine semester hours is required. UHV To Move To Next Phase Of Reopening Plan For Summer Semester

The University of Houston-Victoria will move toward more normal operations before the start of summer classes to allow more students, faculty and staff on campus.   The university will move from Phase 3 to Phase 4 of its Phased Reopening Plan on June 1. UHV Wins District Gold ADDY For Athletics Campaign

The University of Houston-Victoria has won a Gold ADDY award for creative excellence in the four-state District 10 competition of the American Advertising Federation Awards. The award in the Card, Invitation or Announcement Campaign category was for marketing pieces to promote UHV Athletics’ 2020 Weekend for the Jaguars event.
