Jordan High School String Quartet Awarded Silver Medal at Music Competition
It was a night of “firsts” for the Jordan High School String Quartet. The group of four musicians competed for the first time at the UIL State Chamber Music Competition in Bastrop, Texas and brought home the honorable recognition of being named Silver Medalist. Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Sponsors CPR Kit Donation to Memorial Parkway Junior High School
On April 14, the American Heart Association (AHA), with the support of Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, donated a CPR training kit to Katy ISD’s Memorial Parkway Junior High School. The donation was made possible by Kelsey-Seybold’s AHA sponsorship. The clinic’s sponsorship covers the cost of the kit, which is valued at $1,500 and includes training materials and CPR instruction offered through the AHA. Yesterday evening the Community Bond Advisory Committee (CBAC) finalized a ZERO tax rate increase bond package! The recommendation includes four new schools to accommodate student growth, renovations at multiple aging Katy ISD campuses and facilities, a technology plan that would incorporate a districtwide 1:1 student-to-device ratio, safety and security improvements that exceed the state’s minimum standard, and repairs to athletic facilities.
