In Katy, the city hosted a freedom celebration Thursday morning at Katy Heritage Park, 6001 George Bush Dr. The crowd, the size of which might be estimated at about 1,500-2,000 people, enjoyed refreshments and a variety of attractions, including an animal petting zoo, bounce houses, cooling booth, dunking booth, slide, train ride, and various interactive games.
