Off-Duty Veteran Sergeant Dies After Leading Funeral Procession
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is saddened to report the passing of Sgt. Bruce Watson. The 20-year department veteran was fatally struck on his way home by a vehicle in Pearland near FM 2234 and Kingsley Drive. He had just finished an off-duty job leading a funeral procession. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the death of Deputy Johnny Tunches, who died Tuesday after a courageous battle against COVID-19.
