Northwest Assistance Ministries’ (NAM’s) Family Violence Center (FVC) is looking for local artists to participate in an Art Exhibit by submitting a piece of artwork that is symbolic to Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM). More than 80 bowlers turned out to participate in Northwest Assistance Ministries’ (NAM’s) first-ever Bowling for Neighbors Bowl-a-Thon fundraiser on Friday, August 5 and Saturday, August 6, 2022, at iT’Z Family Food & Fun – Willowbrook. NAM’s Learning & Vocational Training Center Announces Schedule For Fall Classes
Northwest Assistance Ministries’ (NAM’s) Learning and Vocational Training Center has released its Fall schedule of adult educational offerings to empower neighbors to seek new job opportunities and achieve financial independence. Certification programs offered include Centralized Sterile Process Technician (CPST), Certified Nurse Aide (CNA), Phlebotomy, and Forklift/OSHA10 certification. Volunteers Needed To Deliver Meals On Wheels
HOUSTON— Northwest Assistance Ministries’ (NAM’s) Meals on Wheels (MOW) program is urgently in need of volunteers to assist with delivering meals to homebound seniors after resuming its daily meal deliveries last month. During the height of the pandemic shut-down, NAM relied on approximately 80 volunteers making weekly deliveries of shelf-stable meals. With more than 900 seniors relying on meals and groceries provided by NAM and MOW, resuming daily deliveries requires over 220 volunteers each week. […]
