A 16-member committee has been created to conduct a national search to find a successor to former Texas A&M University-Kingsville President Dr. Mark A. Hussey, Chancellor John Sharp announced Thursday. Prospective graduates at Texas A&M University-Kingsville received their degrees in person at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, at Javelina Stadium. This is the second time since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic that commencement has been held in the stadium. Texas A&M-Kingsville Graduates Celebrate Commencement In Person At Javelina Stadium

After more than a year with only online, virtual commencement ceremonies, spring 2021 graduates at Texas A&M University-Kingsville were able to walk the stage in person outdoors at Javelina Stadium Friday and Saturday, May 7-8. As COVID-19 continues to impact celebrations and get-togethers, Texas A&M University-Kingsville produced its third virtual commencement as nearly 650 students were prospective fall 2020 graduates.
