Hurricane Recovery Efforts Continue at Mayde Creek High School through Amazon Wish List and a Donation Effort Led by Former Teacher

By George Slaughter People from around the country have followed the Texas Gulf Coast’s hurricane recovery efforts. For Sally Barnes, a Spanish teacher at Mayde Creek High School, the calls came from her hometown of Whitewater, Wisconsin. How could people help? Stop Hunger Now event schedule Saturday, February 6th

Stop Hunger Now is a nonprofit organization that works to end World Hunger. This Saturday, February 6th at 10:30 a.m. in the Main Commons, Mayde Creek High School (MCHS) and National Honor Society (NHS) will be hosting a Stop Hunger Now Meal Packaging Event. MCHS students will be packing 10,152 meals for people in developing countries who have no food.  For this event, MCHS students have raised 3,000$ to sponsor the cost of the meals.  MCHS students’ vision is to […]
