Katy ISD Announces Ticketing, Attendance Plans for Sports Events

By George Slaughter Legacy and Rhodes stadiums will be filled only to 50% capacity for sporting events this fall, under ticketing and attendance plans announced by the district in response to the coronavirus pandemic. The district said it will sell tickets to 40% of stadium capacity, with the remaining 10% to account for late-arriving passholders and parents of athletes. Jordan Warriors Unveil Their New Logo

By George Slaughter Katy Independent School District officials have officially unveiled the logo for the new Jordan High School, which will open in August. The school’s colors are black and gold, and the mascot is Warriors. The logo is a shield with a forward-facing Warrior helmet, similar to a Centurion or Trojan. Mike Rabe Joins Jordan High as Football Coach; Sally Gupton Promoted to Creech Elementary Principal

By George Slaughter Mike Rabe, who spent the last five years coaching at Mayde Creek High School, has been appointed Jordan High School football coach and athletic coordinator. The appointment took place at the Katy Independent School District Board of Trustees meeting Monday.
