Get Family Members Vaccinated or Tested

Less than 40% of the Population has been Vaccinated

Thanks to vaccinations, COVID-19 numbers are finally going in the right direction. Adult cases and deaths are declining. However, children’s cases have been increasing nationwide and children are getting sicker from the virus, but not being hospitalized or dying from COVID-19 in greater numbers. That’s why it is extremely important for parents to get their 12-17 year-old children vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine.  Twelve to 17-year-olds must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to be vaccinated or bring a consent form signed by their parent or guardian. Consent forms are at vacstrac.hctx.net

Appointments are not required to be vaccinated. There are many vaccine sites throughout Harris County, find one near you, click here. If you prefer to make an appointment for any HCPH vaccine site go to vacstrac.hctx.net or call 832-927-8787.

While life is beginning to return to normal, be aware nationwide that less than 4 out of 10 people have been fully vaccinated. When you’re in public, if you are with an adult who can’t be vaccinated or children too young to be vaccinated, they are at risk because many people aren’t vaccinated. However, you can still help protect them by getting them tested. Those who test positive can quarantine to protect others and be monitored to make sure they don’t get extremely ill.

Testing is free, easy to sign up for and quick at HCPH sites. You get your results in 3-5 days. No appointments needed, click here to find a site near you or cal832-927-7575.
