National Charity League, Inc. Lady Bird Chapter Hosts Food Drive

The National Charity League, Inc., Lady Bird Chapter (NCL, Inc.) hosted a food drive at the Westland Baptist Church on Grand Parkway/99.   The Lady Bird Chapter class of 2026 hosted the event and invited participants to drop off non-perishable food items in large paper bags to the church.  Over 111 bags, 375 pounds of non-perishable food items were collected and donated to Katy Christian Ministries (KCM).  KCM is one of 27 philanthropic organizations that the National […]

By George Slaughter Country music star Clint Black, formerly of Katy, has made a $328,322 donation to Katy Christian Ministries as local rebuilding efforts continue after Hurricane Harvey. Black, along with music stars Don Henley and Lyle Lovett, all native Texans, staged a benefit concert last November in Fort Worth.
