Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Officials Approve Educational Commitment of $22,125,250

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo officials approved an educational commitment of $22,125,250 to support Texas youth and statewide educational programs in 2022. A majority of the funds will be administered through more than 800 scholarships valued at $14,186,000.

“Our 2022 educational commitment is particularly meaningful as we near the Rodeo’s 90th anniversary, as it reinforces our unwavering commitment to supporting Texas youth and education, despite the challenges we’ve faced along the way,” said Chris Boleman, Rodeo president and CEO. “We are incredibly grateful to our 35,000 volunteers, donors, sponsors, partners and the Houston community for continuing to support our charitable mission and helping us to exceed $550 million in total educational commitment since 1932.”
