Katy ISD has its spelling bee W-I-N-N-E-R-S for the 2022-2023 school year! Congratulations to Randolph Elementary fifth-grader Swastik Roy and Stockdick Junior High seventh-grader Ahdav Vijay for winning the District Spelling Bee competition.  Both students will head to the 2023 Scripps Regional Spelling Bee, hosted by Houston Community College this Saturday, to compete against students from school districts across the metro area. Students from The Village School Advance to All School Spelling Bee

Fifty-seven students from The Village School, a pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade private day and boarding school located in Houston, recently competed in a middle school spelling bee. Katy ISD has its spelling bee W-I-N-N-E-R for the 2021-22 school year! Congratulations to Beckendorff Junior High seventh-grader Eric Dong for advancing to the Houston Public Media (HPM) Spelling Bee to compete against spellers from school districts around the Houston-Metro area. Katy ISD Academic Decathlon Teams Win Numerous Virtual State Competitions

By George Slaughter Students from seven Katy Independent School Districts won honors at the 2021 Texas Academic Decathlon Event. The competition, held virtually this year due to the pandemic, is the second-largest academic program in the nation where students can be among the beneficiaries of $264,000 in scholarships.
