Embassy Suites by Hilton Houston West-Katy played host to the October Katy Area Economic Development Council General Assembly meeting on Tuesday, October 19. Two longtime Katy Area EDC employees, Lance LaCour and Frank Lombard, were recognized for their service to the organization. Katy Area EDC Leader LaCour to Depart Role Next Year

Katy Area Economic Development Council President/CEO Lance LaCour has announced he will be leaving his longtime post in the spring of 2022. LaCour has led the organization for over 15 years during which time the Katy area population has over doubled in size. TMEIC breaks ground on facility in Katy area, expects to create 100 new jobs

On February 16, TMEIC Power Electronics Products Corporation broke ground on a new 45,000 SF facility in the Katy area. The facility, which is located just off Grand Parkway and north of I-10 in Energy Park West Business Park, will initially be devoted to the assembly, testing and packaging of utility-scale photovoltaic inverters for the solar power market.  TMEIC is expected to increase employment to 100 full-time jobs as a result of the project.  In […]
