KATY, TX — While looking through upcoming events around Katy, we came across a free Community Health Day happening this Sunday and thought local families might want to know about it.
AFC Urgent Care Cinco Ranch is hosting the event on Sunday, August 2, 2026, from noon to 4 p.m. at its new facility located at 23144 Cinco Ranch Boulevard, Suite A, in Katy.
The event is free and open to the entire community.
According to the event organizers, visitors can receive free basic health screenings, including:
- Blood-pressure checks
- Height measurements
- Weight measurements
Families can also tour the new medical facility, meet members of the medical team and learn about the services offered at the Cinco Ranch location.
Those services include walk-in urgent care, illness and injury treatment, digital X-rays, laboratory testing, school and sports physicals, occupational medicine and drug screening.
Family activities and a Typhoon Texas giveaway
Community Health Day is not only about healthcare. Organizers are also planning family-friendly activities, complimentary cotton candy and giveaways.
One family will win a four-pack of admission tickets to Typhoon Texas Waterpark in Katy. To qualify for the giveaway, participants must register for the event, check in when they arrive and be present when the winner is announced.
