Cottage Charm LLC Acquires Cottage Charm At The Romack House

The historic Cottage Charm at the Romack House, an event venue and fixture in the Old Town Katy district, has been acquired by Cottage Charm LLC.

Originally built in 1905, this nostalgic cottage sits on an all-weather, half-acre site that is completely shaded by 100-year-old heritage oak trees. The Cottage Charm venue is ideally suited for parties up to 100 guests and is the frequent choice for private party and event planners for weddings, baby showers, bridal showers, Quinceañeras, family reunions, graduation parties, anniversaries, business meetings, private catered dinners, Prom and Homecoming events.

Longtime Katy residents and new owners of the property, Hector and Magdalena LaRotta, will continue to operate the property as one of Katy’s premier event venues. The sellers and operators of the Cottage Charm venue, Nancy and David Gillespie, will assist the buyers in the transition and fulfillment of events already scheduled at the venue.

As a Katy ISD educator and accomplished area realtor with JPAR-The Sears Group, Maggie LaRotta has been on the hunt for an event venue to become the centerpiece of Hector’s entertainment services business, Houston Memorable Events. “We have been searching for the perfect venue for years. We wanted something unique and picturesque for brides and partygoers to enjoy”, Maggie LaRotta said.

Until now, Maggie’s husband, Hector LaRotta, the founder, owner and operator of Houston Memorable Events has provided services at other venues in the Houston area. “When I saw the Cottage Charm was for sale, I knew this was our opportunity to add the venue as the final piece of Hector’s business, Houston Memorable Events”, LaRotta continued.

“Hector and I are beyond excited to be the new owners of the Cottage Charm, a beautiful and historic property in the Old Town Katy District and look forward to serving the community.”
