Race for the Dome benefits the Astrodome Conservancy’s work to preserve and redevelop the landmark Astrodome
Registration is open for the 2nd Annual Race for the Dome on Saturday, April 9th at https://raceroster.com/events/2022/57564/race-for-the-dome. New this week, all race registrants will be entered in a drawing to win a pair of VIP tickets to the Grammy’s Best New Artist Olivia Rodrigo’s concert at 713 Music Hall on May 12th.
Runners, walkers, and Dome-lovers across Houston, Harris County and beyond are invited to race around the Astrodome at NRG Park in support of a bright future for the Eighth Wonder of the World.
This year’s event features a 5K road race and a Kid’s 1K fun run for even the youngest Astrodome fans. Scheduled for April 9th – the Astrodome’s 57th birthday – the race route will take runners through NRG Park and circle the Dome. Participants can join the Astrodome Conservancy for a post-race birthday party celebration of the landmark Dome.
Race registration includes a 2nd Annual Race for the Dome t-shirt, race bib, and special perks and offers from the Astrodome Conservancy and event sponsors. Participants will receive a limited-edition keepsake finisher medal when they cross the finish line on Saturday, April 9th.
Race packet pickup is hosted by 8th Wonder Brewery at 2202 Dallas Street on Friday, April 8th. The drawing for Olivia Rodrigo concert tickets will be Saturday, April 9th.
