Fort Bend County sheriff’s detectives have arrested a 42-year-old man for burglary of a habitation.

Deputies arrested Rafael Antonio Viana Jr. Nov. 8. He is in custody at the Fort Bend County Jail. He is charged with burglary of a habitation. Bond has been set at $100,000.

Viana’s arrest follows an undercover sting operation that targeted suspects burglarizing residential areas north of Highway 69/U.S. 59. Deputies said the sting began late last month. The burglary for which Viana has been charged occurred in Cinco Ranch just before his arrest in the 21700 block of the Katy Freeway.

During the investigation, detectives recovered electronic equipment, jewelry, and camera equipment from a residence in West Houston associated with Viana.

“This investigation remains active and additional charges on this subject are expected,” Fort Bend County Sheriff Eric Fagan said.
