The magical and most awaited “Return To Hogwarts” will premiere on HBO Max on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2022. It will also feature director Chris Columbus and actors Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy, and Helena Bonham Carter, who played Bellatrix Lestrange. In addition, other prominent cast members will make appearances, including Jason Isaacs and Imelda Staunton, to mention a few.
Will Author JK Rowling be there?
The amazing author of all eight parts of “Harry Potter”, J.K Rowling, has been criticized for her anti-trans statements and is currently not planning to appear in the special. Instead, an Archived video of Rowling discussing the film series will be included in “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts.” However, Rowling’s representatives told The Washington Post that they would not be commenting. Warner Bros. declined to respond as well.
On November 28 (8 p.m. ET/PT) on TBS and Cartoon Network, an exclusive first peek at the special will air before the premiere of the bracket-style quiz show “Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses.” The four-part event, hosted by Helen Mirren, will feature “Harry Potter” film alumni Tom Felton, Simon Fisher-Becker, Shirley Henderson, Luke Youngblood, and superfans Pete Davidson and Jay Leno, competing for the Tournament of Houses championship trophy. On January 1, HBO Max will begin airing “Hogwarts Tournament of Houses.”
