Shriners Children’s Texas Leading The Way In Pediatric Healthcare

Shriners Hospitals for Children in Houston and Shriners Hospitals for Children in Galveston have now consolidated their world-renowned specialty pediatric healthcare services to the Galveston location and are known as Shriners Children’s Texas.

“Our dedication to the children and their families remains the same—transforming children’s lives with exceptional healthcare in a patient & family centered environment.  Operating on the same campus positions us well to achieve our strategic goals for the future. This change provides us with a modernized and integrated approach to meeting our patients’ needs,” said John McCabe, Executive Vice President, Shriners Hospitals for Children.

“We provide the highest quality care to children with a variety of orthopedic, cleft lip & palate issues and burn injuries,” said Steve White, Chairman of the Shriners Children’s Texas board. “We are thrilled to bring our outstanding teams together and have all this incredible expertise under one roof for our patients.”

The opportunity to bring the two hospitals together to one location not only demonstrates good stewardship for a hospital system that provides care regardless of the family’s ability to pay, but also brings together a team of highly-skilled clinicians and physicians that will provide “Texas-sized” care for all Shriners Children’s patients.

This is an energizing journey—to grow and to treat more children as we look towards the future,” said Jerry G. Gantt, President of Shriners Hospitals for Children and Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
