Harmony School of Innovation-Katy Student Speaks to CNBC about the Need to Learn Personal Finance in School

The need for students to learn personal finance in school is great. This issue facing American teenagers prompted Harmony School of Innovation – Katy, Sophomore Temilola Ogunola to speak to CNBC during a virtual summit called Invest in You: Ready.Set. Grow hosted by Junior Achievement USA. Ogunola spoke to CNBC about minority status teenagers who are trying to better save, invest and start new businesses.

Ogunola is the founder of Diverse is Not a CurseThe company creates snack boxes based on different countries as a way to help people identify more with their heritage or allow them to explore someone else’s culture through food. The company’s goal is to provide snacks and to unite the world by encouraging everyone to embrace and appreciate our differences.
