KATY [May 28, 2020] – Graduation is an exciting moment filled with memories for both graduates and their families, and it also marks the beginning of a new chapter for students. However, staging graduation ceremonies amid a global health crisis that has led to social distancing and restrictions on large indoor gatherings has proven challenging for many school districts. For this reason, at this past Tuesday’s Board Meeting, Trustees determined that in lieu of traditional indoor ceremonies, all Katy ISD Class of 2020 ceremonies will be held outdoors in Legacy Stadium this June.
The Katy ISD graduation ceremonies will take place on the following days:

Graduates and guests may begin arriving to the stadium at 6:45 p.m.
Beginning Thursday, June 11 graduates will be able to pick up their ceremony tickets, programs and parking tags at their designated campuses. Items will be distributed in a “Grab and Go” style. The individual campuses will announce the exact pick-up times.
Raines High School and Simon Youth Academy students may elect to graduate with their home campus in June or participate in an August 2019 summer ceremony. All ceremony procedures will comply with current county, state and CDC guidelines. Additional event protocols will be released on Friday, May 29.
