One-stop resource center serving Fort Bend County during COVID 19

On Tuesday, May 26, Fort Bend County Commissioner Ken R. DeMerchant announced the opening of a one-stop Resource Center in response to the uncertainties caused by COVID-19 in Fort Bend County.

The pandemic has resulted in many facing job loss, food insecurities, and mental anxiety and stress. A DeMerchant Community Collaborative effort with the partnership of Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale of Gallery Furniture, Houston Food Bank, Fort Bend County Judge KP George, and Fort Bend County Behavioral Health emerged to address the three areas affecting the residents of Fort Bend County.
