Used Book Sale
The Friends of the Maud Marks Library will hold their June book sale on Saturday, June 24 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. There is a large selection of hardback fiction and nonfiction, as well as children’s books and paperbacks. All items sell for rock bottom prices. All proceeds will benefit the library.

It’s summer time. School Aged children are invited to come to the Maud Marks Library on Monday, July 10 at 1:30 or 3 p.m. to find the magic in reading. Afternoon Adventures are free programs for children aged 5-11. All children must have their hand stamped for entry. Hand stamping begins 30 minutes before each program. Children must be able to sit alone. Parents are not allowed into the program.

DIY Workshop: Dry Erase Board
Build a better world through organization. On Tuesday, July 11 at 2 p.m. at the Maud Marks Library, adults are invited to come make their own personal dry erase boards. All materials will be provided. Seating for this is extremely limited. Participants may register by calling the library at 281-492-8592 or by visiting the library.
Color Me Relaxed
What is the newest way for adults to relax and have a good time? Coloring. The Maud Marks Library now has an adult coloring hour on the 4th Tuesday of every month. Join us on Tuesday, June 27 at 2 p.m. as we color, chat, have a snack, and listen to relaxing music. We will provide plenty of pages for coloring and colored pencils, although, you are more than welcome to bring your own.
Building Challenge: Build a Better Sushi Roll
Teens are invited to create something at the library. On Thursday, June 22 at 3:00 p.m., the Maud Marks Branch Library will host an edible craft for ages 11 and up. Use rice, seaweed, fish, and more to build a better sushi roll. Let your imagination run wild. All necessary materials are provided.
Harris County Libraries Close
All Harris County Libraries will be closed on May 29th in observance of Memorial Day and will reopen for regular business on May 30th.
