Discover Free Software Options At Library Program

Fort Bend County Libraries’ Bob Lutts Fulshear/Simonton Branch Library will have a program, “Discover Free Software,” on Wednesday, April 17, beginning at 1:00 p.m., in the Meeting Room of the library, located at 8100 FM 359 South in Fulshear.

Learn about free, easy-to-use alternatives to popular computer-software programs for word-processing and other applications. Get hands-on practice using these programs to create, edit, and collaborate on documents.

Those attending the class are encouraged to bring their own laptops; a limited number of library laptops will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The class is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, however, and registration is required. To register online at the library’s website (www.fortbend.lib.tx.us), click on “Events,” select “Bob Lutts Fulshear/Simonton Branch,” and find the program. Participants may also register by calling the library at 281-633-4675, or by visiting the library.
