Brookwood’s Art Fest Kicks Off With Groundbreaking Ceremony

ART FEST: Friday, September 14 and Saturday, September 15 from 9am – 4:30pm

*Enjoy lunch from 11am-2pm in the Café and the garden wine bar in the afternoon

WHO: The Brookwood Community provides an educational and social environment that creates meaningful jobs, builds a sense of belonging and awakens real purpose for adults with disabilities.

As a nonprofit organization, the Brookwood Community relies on the support of events like the Art Fest to fund the work programs and residential homes that serve over 225 special needs adults at the main campus in Brookshire and the Grand Parkway location inside Gallery Furniture. With a goal of $34 million, the current “Brookwood and Beyond Capital Campaign” expands upon these services to provide funds for new facilities so that more adults with disabilities can participate in vocational, residential, educational and recreational programs.

WHAT: Join the Brookwood Community for a Capital Campaign Groundbreaking Celebration for the new Center for Education and Enterprise building, followed by a weekend full of shopping at Brookwood’s 2nd annual fall Art Fest.

Come shop vendor booths with exceptional Texas artists featuring fine art pieces, unique home décor and gifts, clothing, jewelry and much more, with 20% of all sales going directly back to Brookwood.

Visitors can also shop at Brookwood’s Gift and Garden Center filled with the Brookwood Citizen’s handcrafted products and beautiful fall plants that were planted and meticulously cared for by the Citizens. Shoppers can also enjoy a delicious lunch in Brookwood’s gourmet Café.
