Cinco Ranch Branch Library Presents Family Movie Day

The Cinco Ranch Branch Library will present a special “Family Movie Day” on Monday, November 20, beginning at 1:30 p.m., in the Meeting Room of the library, located at 2620 Commercial Center Blvd in Katy. Families with children of all ages are invited to enjoy an afternoon movie!

The special feature to be shown is a 2017 live-action remake of a traditional French fairy tale about a girl named Belle, who is dissatisfied with life in a small village. When her father angers a beast living in an enchanted castle, Belle accepts the punishment set on her father and goes to live in the castle in his place. The “beast” is actually a prince who was placed under a spell and magically transformed into a hideous monster because of his selfishness. Belle soon comes to see the charm and gentleness beneath the beastly appearance of her captor, and her selfless love breaks the spell.

The movie is rated PG. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.

The event is free and open to the public. The libraries’ licensing agreement for public showing of films prohibits them from releasing the name of the movie outside of the library. For more information, call the Cinco Ranch Branch Library at 281-395-1311 or the library system’s Public Information Office at 281-633-4734.
