SAN BENITO, Texas – Published author Santos Vallejo tells a story of hope, determination and success in his biography, “Little Santos “Against All Odds”” (published by Xlibris). First released in September of 2015, this book is set for a new marketing campaign.
Through a charming story, Vallejo echoes the lessons and reminders of his experiences, fighting against all odds to achieve his dream of being a firefighter. “This is motivational book at a child’s level. I have not read many books like this one,” he says.
The main character Little Santos is labeled with a learning disability; he seeks help and is rejected several times. However, there is something unique in him and that is his persistence and determination. Throughout his journey, he meets a God-sent teacher that believes in him and propels him to become what he always dreamt of.
“In today’s society everyone is being labeled for something whether it’s learning disability or dyslexia; we want to give a name, when I believe we are all different and learn at different paces. This book speaks to the children that this is happening too and gives inspiration and encouragement,” Vallejo adds. “I want them to be encouraged and know that life is not always going to be easy, but if you stay on the course you can achieve everything.”
