“A Walker Trilogy” By Daisyann Walker Palmer, Ph.D.

‘A Walker Tragedy’ offers example of persevering family

Author Daisyann Walker Palmer, Ph.D., embarks on marketing campaign to promote book

AUSTIN, Texas – According to Daisyann Walker Palmer, Ph.D., fractured families are the norm on TV programs such as “Two and a Half Men” and “Modern Family.” “A Walker Trilogy: Three to Read on Walker Mountain” (published by Inspiring Voices) shows a family that has seen its share of struggles, but has prevailed in valuing, cherishing and preserving itself. Palmer’s trilogy chronicles her family’s triumphs and tragedies for over a century as they struggled to raise children, find happiness and keep their faith. Palmer is launching a marketing campaign to expand the book’s reach.

The compilation of stories set in the years 1900, 1949 and 2013 recount the strength of past generations of the Walker family with the promise of the newer generations of their clan. These intimate family stories offer an excellent opportunity to observe human strengths, perseverance and the refusal to succumb to defeats throughout the decades.

The stories chronicle how the Walker women prevailed over losses and challenges while their men served God and the United States through inventions, music and the sacrifices of military service. “As readers search for a means to hold families within the bounds of respect, joy, dedication and faith, here is a family who, despite struggles, succeeds as an inspirational example,” says Palmer.
