Fire Safety for Adults

Mar 21, 2017

Even adults need fire safety reminders once in a while.  Tom Petty with the Harris County Fire Marshall’s office will be at the Maud Marks Library on Tuesday, March 21 at 3 PM to remind us what to do if a fire happens to us.  This seminar, designed for older adults covers electrical and cooking safety, precautions when sleeping as well as slip and fall hazards, the importance of working smoke alarms, having and practicing a fire exit plan, and more.  Come meet Cinder, a trained K-9 dog who specializes in helping teach fire safety. Seating for this and most classes is limited.  Pre-registration is required.  Please call the library at 281-492-8592 for more information.
