The race will begin with a 1.2-mile saltwater swim in Offats Bayou followed by a 56-mile bike course along the Gulf Coast and a 13.1-mile run that will lead athletes to the finish line at Moody Gardens’ Discovery Pyramid. The Memorial Hermann IRONMAN 70.3 Texas is also a regional IRONMAN TriClub Championship race. The Cinco Ranch Branch Library will have a “College Prep” workshop on Tuesday, April 18, from 4:00 to 5:00 pm, in the Conference Classroom. Leticia Hardy, from the Texas AgriLife Extension Office, will talk about how to “dress to impress” for college-admission interviews and for scholarship interviews. Registration required. Teens can earn volunteer-service hours by participating in FBCL’s Young Adult Advisory Councils, where they can express ideas, help organize upcoming activities, and suggest new programs and books that would be of interest to teens at the library.
