Fort Bend County Libraries presents a program for individuals of all nationalities who would like a place to practice their English language and conversation skills. The “ESL Conversation Circles” provide an opportunity for non-English-speaking people to gather in a relaxed setting, and discuss topics of their own choosing while practicing their English skills. The ESL Conversation Circles will take place at multiple locations in the Fort Bend County library system in January. Reservations are NOT required. More	12	13	14 2:00 pm: Get Tips On Wills & Estate Planning At Mission Bend Branch Library 2:00 pm: Get Tips On Wills & Estate Planning At Mission Bend Branch Library 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm Jan 14, 2023 Fort Bend County Libraries will present a special program on “Wills & Estate-Planning” on Saturday, January 14, beginning at 2:00 pm, in the Meeting Room at the Mission Bend Branch Library, located at 8421 Addicks Clodine Road in northeast Fort Bend County. Presented by Lena Engelage, an attorney with Lone Star Legal Aid, the program will provide an overview of the advantages of estate planning, as well as the disadvantages of not having a plan. The program will cover wills, probate vs. non-probate assets, declaration of guardianship, statutory durable powers of attorney, medical power of attorney, physician’s directive (aka living wills), HIPAA, disposition of remains, and transfer on death deeds. Engelage received her law degree from the Texas Tech University School of Law, and she is a practicing attorney with Lone Star Legal Aid. She has specialized in the area of Estate Planning and Probate. The program is free and open to the public. Local dance instructors Loy and Bernardine Farmer will provide a basic introduction to the Salsa, an energetic partner-style of dance based on simple, repetitive movements.
