The District 19-6A Cross Country Meet will be competitive as always with the varsity runner vying for a Region III-6A meet slot.
In the girls’ district race on Thursday at Paul Rushing Park at 9114 Katy Hockley Road near Paetow High School, Tompkins, Jordan, Katy and Mayde Creek will be battling for the top team spots. According to previous results, Tompkins and Jordan should have a slight edge.
The top girls’ times this season include:
- Rowan Saacke (18:09.72) of Tompkins
- Katy’s Maddy Hunter (18:36.86)
- Tompkins’ Courtney Richman (18:36.90)
- Jordan’s Ximena Lopez (18:41.37)
- Jordan’s Addison Sutton (19:08.80)
- Mayde Creek’s Rachel Solano (19:11.80)
The boys’ district cross country race will be competitive also with Cinco Ranch holding a slight edge in team times over Tompkins, Seven Lakes and Katy.
Top male runners this season include:
- Cinco Ranch’s Adrian Hahn Vadstein (15:16.63)
- Tompkins’ Aiden Ramshaw (15: 35.60)
- Seven Lakes’ Reese Sullivan (15: 45.40)
- Cougar Alex Hahn Vadstein (15:48.90)
- Cougar Adam Elbanna (16:00.60)
- Falcon Mathias Pitzel (16:00.80)
The varsity girls will start at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, and the boys are slated to run at 8 a.m. Subvarsity races will follow the varsity runs at Paul Rushing Park.

Jordan Warrior Ximena Lopez has led the girls’ cross country team most of the season. She is expected to lead the Warriors at district.
