Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Waterview Town Center

HOUSTON, TX – On Thursday, March 28, 2019, Read King Commercial Real Estate hosted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at their Waterview Town Center project. Considered one of the most active developments in Greater Houston, Waterview Town Center is a 134-acre development located along the Grand Parkway just west of Aliana (the 4th most active master-planned community in Houston). The project has over four miles of street frontage on the Grand Parkway, West Bellfort, Harlem, and Morton Roads. Anchors Academy, Studio Movie Grill, and LA Fitness will join At Home, along with Chick fil A, Whataburger, Texas Roadhouse, Specs, Chipotle, Quick Quack Car Wash, and Valvoline, Synergy at Waterview, a luxury 296-unit multi-family project by Interfin, is scheduled to open in 2020.

“At build-out, Waterview will contain approximately 1.1 million square feet of gross leasable area comprised of retail, restaurant, fitness, entertainment, office, and residential uses. The project includes 565 residential units providing homes for over 1,200 people, and the businesses within the project will create over 2,000 jobs.” Charles Scoville, Read King’s COO, said during his welcome.

The event celebrated the completion of construction of two inline buildings, known as Eastern Village. The site work on Academy, LA Fitness, and Texas Roadhouse is currently underway with all three scheduled to be open during the fourth quarter of this year. Current and future tenants for Eastern Village include: Apex Urgent Care, Deca Dental, Grand Eye Care, Jersey Mikes, and Sprint with 15,995 square feet of lease space still available.

Following the Ribbon Cutting, guests were invited to walkthrough the building space, where Read King displayed a gallery summarizing the project and soon to be built signature Water Tower, designed by Boucher Design Group. The Water Tower, visible from the Grand Parkway, will serve as the landmark for Waterview Town Center and represent the style and design of the overall project.
