Prerak Shah announces departure as chief
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today announced the promotion of his deputy chief of staff, Steve Chartan, to chief of staff. Sen. Cruz’s current chief of staff, Prerak Shah, is returning to legal practice.
“Pre has been an exceptional chief of staff and chief counsel,” Sen. Cruz said. “From ensuring that Texas received all the resources it needed to recover from the devastation of Hurricane Harvey, to working to secure our southern border, to putting conservative judges on the bench, Pre has been a vital part of our work fighting for liberty and advancing common sense, conservative principles.”
