Oct. 22, 2026 – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash involving a vehicle operated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and a vehicle the agents were pursuing.
An ICE agent called 911 to report the crash at 6:41 a.m. in the 12400 block of Old Foltin Road in northwest Harris County. While the circumstances of the crash are under investigation, ICE agents reported they were pursuing a pickup truck driven by a 52-year-old man that failed to navigate the “s” curve in the roadway. The pickup left the roadway and entered the ditch. When the pursued vehicle came out of the ditch the two vehicles made contact, resulting in a broken taillight on the pickup truck. ICE agents then took the person into custody. While still at the crash scene, the man in ICE custody reported experiencing chest pains and was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was in stable condition.
The Sheriff’s Office investigation into this incident is being conducted in consultation with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.
