HOUSTON, TX – Today marks two years since three people were murdered and their Cypress home was intentionally set on fire. As investigators continue working to identify those responsible, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, FBI Houston, and Crime Stoppers of Houston are announcing an increased reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of those responsible.
On August 18, 2024, Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residential fire in the 14600 block of Plains River Drive. Inside the home, deputies discovered the bodies of Kelly Masciarelli, her son Kolin Foster, and his girlfriend Cameryn Richard.
Investigators determined the fire was intentionally set and that all three victims were murdered.
“Two years later, we have not forgotten Kelly, Kolin, or Cameryn,” said Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. “Our investigators remain committed to finding those responsible and bringing justice to their families. We believe there are people who know what happened that night, and we are asking them to come forward.”
Reward Increased to $50,000
The FBI has increased its reward for information in the case to up to $50,000. Investigators hope the increased reward and renewed attention surrounding the anniversary will encourage anyone with information to speak up.
Previously released surveillance footage shows a male suspect with a tall, muscular build getting into a black four-door sedan driven by another individual.
Investigators believe someone may recognize the suspect, the vehicle, or have information about the events surrounding the murders and fire.
“Even the smallest piece of information could be critical to this investigation,” Sheriff Gonzalez said. “If you know something, please come forward. These families deserve answers.”
