You Don’t Have to Travel Far to Make a Great Memory
Sometimes the hardest part of planning a weekend is deciding to do something at all.
It’s easy to fall into the same routine.
We go to work, take care of the family, handle responsibilities, and before we know it, another weekend has passed.
But think about it.
A child might remember the afternoon they played games with their family at the Katy Community Lions Club fundraiser.
A couple might discover that they love salsa dancing.
A teenager might find inspiration at an art exhibition.
And someone who just moved to Katy might meet their first new friend at a community event.
Not every adventure has to be expensive, elaborate, or far from home.
Sometimes the most meaningful experiences happen right here in our own backyard.
So, Katy, here’s our challenge: Do something different this weekend.
Try a new activity. Support a local nonprofit. Visit a place you’ve never been. Take your family somewhere unexpected.
And if you’d rather stay in Katy, remember that our community has plenty of opportunities to explore.
