50 Republicans, 50 Democrats Endorsed by Texas Leader in Animal Welfare

Texas Humane Legislation Network Announces 2026 General Election Endorsements
The Texas Humane Legislation Network (THLN), a leading voice in animal welfare across the state, today announced its 2026 general election endorsements ahead of Nov. 7’s election. The endorsements of 50 Republicans and 50 Democrats reflect the organization’s commitment to advancing the humane treatment of animals through legislation, education and advocacy.

THLN reviewed candidates’ responses to its questionnaire, examined past voting records and consulted with its government relations team as part of the endorsement process.

“Animal welfare matters to Texans across the political spectrum,” said Kolby Monnig, senior director of government relations at THLN. “These endorsements reflect our bipartisan approach: supporting candidates from both parties who are willing to advance meaningful protections for animals. We believe lasting progress comes from working with leaders across the aisle and building support around practical solutions,” she said.

The full list of endorsed candidates is available here.

THLN representatives are available to discuss the endorsements and the organization’s animal welfare priorities.
