AMBER Alert Issued for Missing 5-Year-Old Edward Hall in Katy

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas — Authorities are asking for the public’s immediate help locating 5-year-old Edward Hall, who was reported missing from the Katy area of Fort Bend County.
A local AMBER Alert was issued Sunday evening as law enforcement continued searching for Edward near the 3800 block of Ryans Rock Court.
According to the official Texas Department of Public Safety AMBER Alert, Edward is described as:
- 5 years old
- Black male
- Approximately 4 feet, 1 inch tall
- Approximately 80 pounds
- Brown eyes
- Brown hair
The DPS alert states that Edward was last seen wearing a black-and-blue Elmo T-shirt and black shorts.
An earlier notice from the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office described him as having black hair with loose curls and wearing black pants, a black Elmo T-shirt and no shoes. The Sheriff’s Office initially reported that he was last seen Sunday afternoon, while the subsequent DPS alert lists the last-seen time as approximately 5 a.m.
Because the official descriptions differ slightly, residents should not dismiss a possible sighting based solely on whether the child is wearing shorts or pants.
What to Do if You See Edward
Anyone who sees Edward should call 911 immediately.
Anyone with information that could help investigators locate him should contact the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency line at 281-341-4665, option 1.
Do not rely solely on posting a possible sighting on social media. Report the information directly to law enforcement as quickly as possible.
The Sheriff’s Office initially said there was no indication of foul play but emphasized that locating Edward is urgent so authorities can verify his safety and well-being.
