FREE CRAFTS, TRIVIA, & MORE FOR TEENS AT CINCO RANCH BRANCH LIBRARY

Fort Bend County Libraries offers programs specifically designed for high school-aged teens entering grades 9 through 12. The programs provide fun and challenging opportunities for these young adults, who are also encouraged to become active participants in designing and orchestrating new activities for teens in the library system.

In June, the Cinco Ranch Branch Library will present the following programs for the teen community.

  • Teen Craft: Avocado Keychains– Tuesday, June 10, 2:00-3:00 pm, Conference Classroom. Using felt, teens will make an avocado keychain that can be used for keychains or backpacks. Registration required.
  • Teen Chop-Chop Club: Your Own Dips– Tuesday, June 17, 6:00-7:30 pm, Multipurpose Room. This hands-on program focuses on learning basic kitchen skills and nutrition while creating mostly no-bake recipes. Each month features a different recipe. The topic for June is dips. Please notify the Adult Services library staff if you have a food allergy. Registration required.
  • Art Trivia Night for Teens– Tuesday, June 24, 6:00-7:30 pm, Multipurpose Room. Teens can test their knowledge of art in this friendly competition. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place! Registration required.

Materials for these activities were made possible by the Friends of the Cinco Ranch Branch Library.

These activities are free and open to the public. Seating is limited, however, and reservations are required. To register online at the library’s website (www.fortbendlibraries.gov), click on “Classes & Events,” select “Cinco Ranch Branch,” and find the program. Participants may also register by calling the Cinco Ranch Branch Library (281-395-1311), or by visiting the Adult Services Information desk at the library.

The Cinco Ranch Branch Library is located at 2620 Commercial Center Blvd in Katy.
