Drew Jerdan of Bad News Bar is crowned 2024 Iron Bartender Champion for The Periwinkle Foundation’s premier bartender competition during fundraiser at Lyric Market downtown

DETAILS:       On Thursday, September 12, 120 Periwinkle supporters gathered at the Lyric Market food hall in Houston’s Theater District for the sold-out Iron Bartender event, Houston’s premier bartender competition.

 

Iron Bartender supporters generated more than $52,000 to further the community of healing, which provides positive camps, arts and survivor programs to children and teens challenged by cancer and other life-threatening illnesses who are treated at Texas Children’s Hospital.

 

Drew Jerdan of Bad News Bar was named 2024 Iron Bartender Champion, while The People’s Choice Award went to Lynzie Holland of Johnny’s Goldbrick. The event was chaired by Sean Beck. Five finalists were chosen over the summer by a panel of judges to compete for the title of Iron Bartender. Jerdan could not be in attendance, so Kristine Nguyen accepted the award on his behalf.
