Typhoon Texas will celebrate the first splash of the 2022 waterpark season with a full weekend of fun starting Saturday, May 28 along with its “Welcome Back Beach Bash” signature event on Monday, May 30 featuring live music, strolling in-park entertainment, and family-friendly activities plus all the thrills of family raft rides, twisting tube slides, free-fall body slides and other attractions.
The Texas-themed waterpark offers more than a mile of winding, twisting slide paths, Texas-size wave pool, Lazy River the length of more than five football fields and children’s Gully Washer with a massive, 800-gallon water bucket, slides and more than 100 spray areas.
“After a busy offseason, we’re ready to once again welcome families with a summer of good, clean fun,” says John Pham, director of marketing at Typhoon Texas.

Besides enjoying unlimited entry into the Typhoon Texas waterparks in Houston and Austin, season pass holders enjoy 15% off food, non-alcoholic drinks, fast passes, cabana rentals and retail purchases. They also receive a cashless pay wristband, discount coupons for in-park purchases and a discounted 2022 any-day guest ticket.
The Texas-themed waterpark serves up authentic Texas barbecue, slow smoked onsite with selections including juicy burgers, foot-long corn dogs, warm, soft pretzels hand rolled onsite, Typhoon sundaes with blue soft-serve ice cream, and Dippin’ Dots ice cream. Guests 21 and over also can enjoy draft and bottled beer, cocktails and frozen alcoholic drinks in the Double T Bar.
Typhoon Texas is located at 555 Katy Fort Bend Rd. next to Katy Mills Mall, 1.5 miles west of the Grand Parkway. Free onsite parking, free tubes and free life jackets are available.
