A 19-year-old Houston man is in the Fort Bend County Jail on $500,000 bond following a suspected road rage shooting in Fort Bend County.

Deputies arrested Ramon Vasquez early Saturday morning and charged him with murder.

Deputies responded to a call at the intersection of Beechnut and Addicks-Clodine on Friday after receiving word of two-vehicle car crash that resulted in a fatal shooting. Deputies discovered the driver likely to be at fault in the wreck, and that he was approached and shot by the other driver, who fled the scene.

Humphrey Magwira, 20, was transported to a local hospital with multiple gunshot wounds, where he died.

“This senseless and tragic loss of life occurred as result of a minor unintentional vehicle collision,” Sheriff Eric Fagan said. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim’s family as our Detectives continue their work on this case.”
