Katy Resident, JoAnn Cooper named as a 2021 Woman of Excellence

JoAnn Cooper, Senior Loan Officer and Branch Manager at 1st NWM Corporation, the TX branch of 1st Nationwide Mortgage Corporation, has been named a Woman of Excellence by the Federation of Houston Professional Women (FHPW). Having been selected by the Professional Women’s Network of Houston (PWNH), Cooper was chosen because she has shown leadership, dedication and service to her organization, her community, and her business.
As a Loan Officer, JoAnn helps approximately 60 families a year to save tens of thousands of dollars collectively each month, and has donated over $140,000 to her clients’ favorite nonprofits between 2010 and 2020.
Additionally, JoAnn is the author of “The Road to Home Ownership and Financial Freedom: How Choosing the Right Home Loan and Avoiding Mortgage Mistakes Can Save You Thousands”. The book, available on Amazon, takes a comprehensive look at the most common mortgage questions, real life examples, common mistakes, the info needed to avoid them; and helps set one on the road to financial freedom!

When Cooper found out she was to receive this prestigious award she commented, “The Federation of Professional Houston Women is a fabulous organization that enables women to achieve their goals through inspiration, collaboration and educational scholarships. To receive an award of excellence from such an organization is truly a privilege.”
This once in a lifetime award was presented to JoAnn Cooper at the 2021 FHPW Gala on September 18th. She was joined by fellow PWNH members and her husband of 29 years, Danny and their son, Ricky.
