Ceremony will include: Posting of Colors by Combined Katy VFW Post 9182 and American Legion Post 164 Honor Guard followed by the National Anthem Pledge of Allegiance, Invocation by Post Chaplain Jeb Strickland, Introduction of Special Guests Opening Comments by Don Byrne VFW Post 9182 Post Commander and Texas VFW District 17 Sr. Vice Commander, Original Poem by Poet Laureate Hubert E. (Ernie) Cormier II (Past Exalted Ruler Katy Elks Lodge 2628 & Past Commander American Legion Post 164), Guest Speaker Past VFW Post 9182 Commander Mike Mastrangelo, Recognition of First Responders Laying of Post and Auxiliary wreaths on stage – Sea Cadets, 21 Gun Salute by Combined VFW and American Legion Post Honor Guard, Star Spangled Banner, and Closing prayer by Post Chaplain Jeb Strickland.
