Fort Bend Christian Academy Appoints New Head of Upper School

After a nationwide search, FBCA is elated to announce the appointment of Mr. Nathan Barber as Fort Bend Christian Academy’s Head of Upper School. With numerous applicants from Texas and across the United States, a comprehensive and thoughtful interview process, including many school stakeholders, which included administration, faculty, staff, parents, and students. They identified Mr. Barber as the right candidate to lead our upper school into the future.

Mr. Barber comes to FBCA with extensive experience as a teacher, coach, and school leader.  During his impressive professional career, Mr. Barber has served as a History teacher, Varsity Girls Basketball Head Coach, Dean of Students, Head of Upper School, Assistant Headmaster, Director of Guidance and College Counseling, and Instructor of Social Studies Pedagogy at Baylor University. Additionally, Mr. Barber has written numerous educational books, classroom guides for teachers, and online content for test-prep companies. Mr. Barber holds a Masters Degree in Education from Baylor University. He has participated in professional growth experiences through Rice University’s Glasscock School of Continuing Education, presented at events like the Fort Bend County Literacy Council Gala and Association of Christian Schools International (ASCI) Annual Convention, and served on accreditation teams for AdvanceEd.
