By George Slaughter

The Katy Independent School District will continue offering its “Grab and Go” meals to students this summer.

The program is for student 18 years and younger, in the Katy area, as well as those enrolled in the district’s in-person summer school, the district said in a news release.

The meal distribution schedule is as follows.

“Grab and Go” meals consist of ready to heat and eat breakfast and lunch. Tuesday meal pick-ups will consist of four breakfasts and four lunches for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Monday. There is no school, nor meal pick-ups, on Friday.

Pick-up directions will be marked at school entry sites. If parents are picking up meals for their child or children who cannot be present, identification for each child such as an ID, report card, or birth certificate must be presented before receiving the meals.
