It has certainly been a tough year, and with an almost certain change to remote working on a permanent basis for many of us too there’s a big chance that your day to day has changed considerably from the same time last year – but as most of the world looks to find opportunities to re-open again for the summer, the pandemic body is certainly something that many have focused on – a little lax attitude toward the diet, and a bit too much time spent inside playing your favorite free casino slot games or watching your favorite movies has taken its toll, but the good news is it isn’t only you as research has shown that there’s a huge number of people going through the same post-pandemic problem, even the A listers like Will Smith recently announcing his new YouTube series of “Best Shape of My Life” documenting his own journey for getting back in shape now things are getting back to normal. So, what do you need to know for your own journey too?

Muscle memory is key – It’s very well known at this point that if you’ve been in shape before, getting back into shape once again is much easier and this will be key for most – that bit of weight gain you’ve seen or just falling out a shape a little may not be as hard to shift as you think, your body will remember how to be in shape so the key is just getting back to the gym or getting back outside to help your body remember, and you’ll be surprised at how quick the transformation back to the way things were will be.
Fixing the diet is the harder part – Whilst for many being stuck at home has been a blessing in disguise as you’ve been less tempted to eat out for lunch as you may have done at the office, it has also increased the probability that you’re ordering dinner in instead, and with trips to the shop being a little more interesting these days you may be less encouraged to visit often to buy fresh. Fixing this will be key for many of us to get back to normal, and with shopping starting to become much easier getting out there to buy fresh good food is easier too, and so the only other challenge will be ensuring you get your healthy lunch and dinner in during the day whilst working from home.
Just staying motivated is its own challenge – And then of course the age-old issue, how do you stay motivated? When you’re commuting to and from work, the gym could be mid-way and it’s easy enough just to stop, but if you’re waking up and staying in the same room all day it’s a little more difficult and where much of the research is being focused – ultimately, it’s down to your own efforts, and just getting back out there will be enough to encourage you after early positive signs show.
